Make sure prior auth has been obtained.
Go through the schedule a day or two before and make confirm benefits prior to the patient's appointments'.
Be a team player, be willing to change things to make things easier, communicate with team members.
Keeping track of referral status.
Checking all balances and letting the patient know and/or communicating with the billing department.
