12/26/23-12/29/23, 1/1/24, 1/15/24, 2/19/24 Ski Lift Operator Lift operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the mountain's chairlift, and the skiers and snowboarders that use it.
They spend their days helping participants, of all skill levels, load and unload from the lift, in all kinds of weather.
As a result, enjoyment of the outdoors is a must! The job of a lift operator is critical to the success of any ski operation because much of the customer's time is spent with them.
Responsibilities:
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors Checks ski lift to ensure good working condition; reports any special needs to Maintenance Department Completes appropriate paperwork daily Clears snow from chairs to enable lift operation Regulates skiers entering lift, following proper safety procedures Makes startup, slowdown, and shutdown decisions based on each situation Operate the assigned lift safely and efficiently Provide physical assistance to guests as required Maintain all operational aspects of the assigned lift Provide excellent customer service and create positive memories for the guests Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Possess excellent employee and public relation skills and enjoy working with the public Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated Able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment, while remaining calm under pressure Capable of performing physical/manual duties Enjoy working outdoors in all kinds of weather Education & Training Prior training on equipment is necessary before individual is permitted to work; annual refresher is mandatory.
Experience Will train the appropriate candidate for this position.
Ski Lift Attendant Lift attendants are responsible for the safety of customers who are unloading from the chairlift.
Attendants spend the majority of their days being attentive to the safety of all skill level skiers and snowboarders, in all kinds of weather.
Enjoyment of the outdoors is a must! Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors Clears snow from chairs to enable lift operation Shovels snow on to ramps, fills in slight areas where needed Observes lift unload area for skiers leaving lift Fills in as necessary to help ensure smooth operation of ski area Operate the assigned lift safely and efficiently Provide physical assistance to guests as required Maintain all operational aspects of the assigned lift Provide excellent customer service and create positive memories for the guests Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
